She is CEO of, Strictly Speaking, a company established to create resource materials that build the capacity of non-native speakers of English, improve their fluency and pronunciation, and facilitate effective communication. She is an award-winning broadcast journalist and trainer, who retired from anchoring the news in 2015, after a forty-year career as a producer and presenter at the NTA and Channels TV and also as an independent producer of radio and TV drama programmes focusing on gender issues.
In the last 20 years, Bimbo has been a training consultant for various radio and television stations in Nigeria and has dedicated herself to developing Presenters, Teachers, Diplomats, Students & Corporate individuals, to enhance their skills as public speakers and professional communicators. She has also represented Nigeria in the UK, Europe, the USA, and the West Indies.
Based on an identified need, Bimbo published her first book/CD in 2016, titled Strictly Speaking – Pronunciation made easy”. She published its sequel, “Strictly Speaking – An oral guide for schools and colleges”, in 2018 to cater for the more technical needs of students of Oral English.
